Zion Baptist Church Sunday School
The mission of the Sunday School is to (a) reach out to the
unsaved by teaching all nations and leading them to salvation
(b) provide comprehensive and systematic Bible study that equips
the people of God with the knowledge needed for Christian growth
and effective ministry; and (c) serve as a vehicle for Christian
fellowship for the members of the church and the community
at large. (Matthew 28: 19-20; 2 Timothy 2:15; Acts 2:41-21)
A Little about our Sunday School
The Sunday School
meets every Sunday throughout the sanctuary, educational wing,
Family Life Center and Fellowship Hall. Appropriate classes
are available for every member and visitor at Zion Baptist
Church.
Each class has a team of dedicated and committed teachers
whose goal is to teach the Word of God and help to provide
clarity to those that seek understanding.
Classes are offered
in a variety of formats including lectures, discussion groups,
and age appropriate groups for children and youth.
We believe
that Christian education is essential for children and adults
to have continued growth toward Christian maturity.

SUNDAY
SCHOOL CLASSES
Nursery Class – appropriate for all children between
the ages of 2-4 years of age.
Kindergarten Class – for
children approximately 5 years old that have started kindergarten.
Primary
Class - a class that attends to the needs of 1st and 2nd graders.
Middler’s Class – appropriate
for 3rd and 4th grade students.
Junior Class – class designed
for 5th and 6th graders.
Junior High Class – appropriate
for 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students.
Senior High Class – designed
for students in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades.
Adult Bible
Class – The adult Bible class conducts systematic
Bible study every Sunday in the sanctuary.
Walk By Faith Forum – An
adult class that holds lively discussions about contemporary
issues that face Christians in their daily lives.
Parents Class - A parent’s bible discussion group that
examines common issues facing parents and their children.
New
Disciples Class – Designed to provide an orientation
to the church and introduce new members to basic Baptist doctrine.
Spiritual
Gifts Class – Designed
for students that have completed the New Members Class. Students
examine the gifts that God has provided as they decide where
they want to work in the church.
Topical
Classes – The
Sunday School provides a variety of topical classes on a
rotating basis. Topics include Revelations, Spiritual Maturity,
and the Ten Commandments.
Night
Sunday School – Annual
study and fellowship event with other churches in the metropolitan

For Children……
Mark 10:14 - But when Jesus saw
